Particles displace mesh - Booclay - 02-18-2021

Hi all.

I'm trying to animate a bunch of spheres going up a fairly flat mesh. The flat-ish deforming around the spheres as they move up the plane. Imagine moving a marble up a hanging sheet. But the sheet doesn't need to fully behave like cloth, it just needs to dent around the ball.

I almost wonder if I don't need tyflow. I just need the particles to act as a soft selection area on the flat mesh, then as the particles or spheres move up the flat mesh, it just pushes in, as if using the push modifier. Or maybe the flex modifier?

Any help would be awesome

Thank you

You can use the tySelect modifier on an object, switch it to particle selection mode, select your particle system and adjust the radius influence value...then place a push modifier on top.
