Floating Object where only fragments are effected by gravity

Lets say I create a floating object, a sphere. It's rotating above the plane 20 meters. The sphere is struck repeatedly by spheres from a tyflow particle. And I only want the voroni fragments to be effected by gravity, while the sphere continues rotating? The sphere remains stationary, other than the rotation. Is this possible?

Sure, why not? Just send the fragments to an event with its own gravity. If they're PhysX particles, disable default gravity in the tyFlow PhysX rollout.
