Alembic Deforming Mesh Import

I have a character animated in Maya that i've exported as an alembic cache. I would like to bring this into tyflow and use it in a physx sim. What is the best way to achieve this? I've added it as a birth object and actor so far but the mesh animation doesn't update in either case. Any help would be appreciated.

What kind of PhysX interaction? A collider? Just add it to a PhysX Collision operator.
