Problem inflating locked soft bodies
#1
Hi there!!! Smile

I'm still quite a noob with tyFlow and I found another hiccup that I can't overcome Sad I do hope someone will know how to help me.

The goal is to pile up a bunch of viruses (soft bodies), so they squash each other making it much more realistic.
As I wanna control the pile I set up some placeholders spheres exactly where I want them.
My plan was this:
- Create particles, one per placeholder sphere
- Scale them down to 50%
- Start growing them slowly
- When they collide, they will deform and adapt to each other, but still in place

What happens? Well, All goes well until I add PhysX and then that "lock" to the placeholders breaks and gravity and pushing each other break everything.

Images attached:
a) Placeholders
b) Scale up working well, not interactions
c) Interactions, but all scattered, not respecting the original location

Any help would be hugely welcome!!!

Thanks!

You can disable the default gravity and ground plane for PhysX in the tyFlow modifier panel (in the PhysX rollout).

Thanks for your answer! I already tried that, but unfortunately all those sphere will push each other away. I would love to find a way to lock their pivot while they inflate.
