Any way to conform Tyflow Terrain to an existing topographical mesh?
#1
Hi there, apologies in advance if it's already been answered somewhere on here, I just can't seem to find an answer on this.

Is there any way --- maybe an operator, some tutorial describing a similar workflow, etc --- that would help me with using Tyflow's new terrain feature with an existing terrain mesh, modelled after the site's actual topographic map?

Like, there has to be a better, more efficient way than just eyeballing it with the curves editor under the terrain slope node, right?

Thanks anyway!

Create a Birth Terrain operator and line up the terrain tile overtop your existing terrain mesh (easiest way: enable 'transform grid with node', assign a helper as the node and then move/scale the helper in the scene to adjust the terrain location).

Then add an Object to Terrain operator and select the existing geometry as the input geometry. You may also want to change the Object to Terrain operation to 'Set'.
