Best tyCache settings with MotionBlur rendering?
#1
Question
Hello,
I noted some time ago this save method, but some things have changed now:

1.) at first to put any modifier on the tyCache(Edit Poly for example)
and settings
2.) GPU instancing OFF (Display Tab)
3.) render instancing OFF  -  does it mean setting this on Meshes?
4.) with particle interface OFF
5.) "Enable Vray Interface" OFF  - I cant find this anymore, is this legacy?

Thanks!

What does adding an Edit Poly to a tyCache have to do with motion blur? I really don't know what you're asking..

It's exactly what you wrote me two years ago.
("any modifier")
I can look for the thread.

- What about the recommended settings now?

I had two years ago an issue, that no motion blur was rendered with tyCache.
Currently with a tight deadline I can't experiment myself, so I'm asking before I run into issues.

Thanks

Hmm…we’ll I’d have to see the context of the thread to see why I said that, and a lot has changed in two years.

Adding a modifier to a tyCache would be a way to guarantee that certain interfaces are not activated, but that type of workaround doesn’t directly enable or disable motion blur rendering, and tyCaches can render motion blur fine as-is. The past recommendation may have been to force the calculation of vertex interpolations for deforming geo, but that would only work in certain setups.

Thanks, so it means that these three settings in the screenshot above are the only thing I have to do, right?

- Render > Rendering > meshes"
- OFF GPU instancing
- OFF "vray Interface"
