Odd behaviour in Surface Force using Normal? - tymc - 07-08-2020

Hi there,

I was trying to emit particles from a hemisphere geo (bottom faces deleted) using "surface force". (like speed by surface in PF)

Maybe I had the wrong settings but although the normals of the geo seem ok, and the particles seem to be generated correctly, the vectors in which they are shot outwards seem to be wrong.

I chose "Face normals" and "Accurate" sampling but still the directions are way off (even downwards).

What am I missing?

Have you set the default attraction force to 0?

Hi, yes I did.

Maybe this is a already resolved issue...I am still on version 16082, since I did not want to change anything mid-project...

Nope...I am getting the same result in v16089.

Any thoughts?

Thanks you very much. In the meantime I started over with the scene and voilà ... suddenly it works. Must have been a glitch. But your help is very much appreciated, as always! Heart Smile
