Stop VDB building - TubeSmokeGuy - 07-09-2020

Hi!

Is there a way to stop the vdb building process at a given frame and hold its form from that point on without any calculations for the rest of the timeline?

Thanks for help! Smile

You can use the retimer settings of a flow to hold evaluation like that.

For example, if you want a flow to evaluate from frame 0-20 and then hold after that point forever, you'd enable the retimer, set a frame keyframe at frame 0 with a value of 0, set a frame keyframe at frame 20 with a value of 20, right click the spinner and in the tyFlow menu set the interpolation to linear (or do that in the graph editor), and that's it...
