tyCache produces "wrong" result - Alexx31 - 08-08-2020

Hello,

maybe a beginner question:
I have a simulation with leaves flying away from a plant (Birth Objects).
When I cache this with "Export Particles (tycache)", then some of the leaves don't leave there position (or the original isĀ  partly stilll there).

What could be the reason?
I just used "Generate tyCache files" with the same simulation of course.
I also unchecked once all "include geometry" options, this had no effect.

Thanks!

Do you have hidden particles (particle in an event with no Display operator) that you're exporting by accident?

Yes, I have one operator without "display geometry", so that must be the reason, I didn't know that it makes them visible then.
thanks

You can filter out particles from export using export groups in a Particle Group operator. Then just select (or deselect) the corresponding groups in the Export Particles settings.
