Viewport texture display of referenced objects? - zero-13 - 04-06-2019 Dearest Tyson, I want to first thank you for all your hard work helping revitalize my beloved 3ds Max, we are lucky to have you! I have a referenced group of objects with PhysX Shape emitted with Display geometry on. How do I get the objects textures to display on the emitted objects in the viewport? RE: Viewport texture display of referenced objects? - tyFlow - 04-06-2019 Hey, Just assign your object's material to the tyFlow itself. However, if you have multiple materials assigned to your objects you'll need to combine them into a single multi/sub material and apply that to your tyFlow, with proper matIDs set on your reference objects. Note: if you set matID overrides on the particles themselves, there is a bug in the current build (fixed in the next) that prevents proper matID display in the view using the display operator set to geometry. The current workaround is to use a Mesh operator set to trimesh and 'render only' off, instead of a display operator. RE: Viewport texture display of referenced objects? - zero-13 - 04-06-2019 @tyFlow Thank you for answering this very basic question! Got it going now, had to unravel my ID mess as all the Group REF objects also had MultiSub materials and IDs, so just had to square away those IDs in a new Multi. |
