Dynamic subframe sampling - TubeSmokeGuy - 02-22-2021
Hi!
It would be cool if we can control the subframe sampling amout dynamically (keyframed or automatic adaptive). You know, this 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, etc. in the main settings.
This would be very useful for sims, where we know, when it will come to high velocity phases and when the scenario is mostly calm.
So that we dont have to simulate the whole timeline with high simulation substeps which is expensive and takes a lot of time.

Variable frame stepping comes with a lot of issues and potential side-effects, so I will be keeping that setting un-animatable.
