multiplatform tycache - Bohusz - 04-09-2021 Hi I have simple question about complex topic Is it possible to have multi platform tycache ? Something we could render out from Maya with Redshift instancer... etc or read inside UE ? We found that Houdini works fine with abc point cloud which is great but how about some official solution ? In other word to get shape from tycache as instanced geo. to work with other 3d programs in read only. Please don`t ban me for that questions ps. There is something similar in Houdini. Where you can transfer H. particles into Niagara. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAn1Za1MYW4 RE: multiplatform tycache - tyFlow - 04-09-2021 Currently tyCache is a proprietary max-only format. In the future I'd like to expand the Alembic export formats to support instancing for better inter-app data transfers. RE: multiplatform tycache - Bohusz - 04-09-2021 Thanks for the answer. I am looking forward to this option. Thanks and regards. |
