Does fluid force work with VDB? - ldotchopz - 07-22-2021

I noticed someone else asked this in 2019 but didn't get an answer. I am running in to the same problem now. when i swtich from aur to vdb, the fluid force operator does nothing. I need to use VDB to render phoenix with redshift.

Is there a setting i'm missing or just not yet supported?

Cheers!

It's not supported...PhoenixFD containers don't return data through their provided SDK when loading from VDB. Not sure if that's intended or something Chaos Group still plan to fix.

Good to know! Thank you for the fast response.

Hi! Sorry for asking,
So, there is no way to use any given open vdb sequence as a fluid force?
Let's say, a vdb solution imported from Embergen, for example.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, have you managed to do this? I'm trying the same thing right now.
