vray displacement issue - dr_ron69 - 01-12-2022
Hi
im having an issue with tyflow not showing the vray displacement at render.
I have put the displacement modifier onto the flow , its seems to be doing the "subdiv" part of the vray disp modifier, but not any actual "displacement"
iv attached 3 images to show issue
1st image:
original geo on right and tyflow object on left
as you can see the right objects renders correctly, the left side only seems to do the "subdiv" part of modifier
2nd image
no vray displacement modifier on anything
3rd is map used for displacement,
it is from blender , exported as a vector displacement map
appreciate any help

quick update
seems my geo was at massive scale, hence no displacement showing
xform on geo did the trick

right final Q for anyone
i have scattered objects with displacement on them, but the objects are at differing scales , now how can we have the displacement working properly in that regards? because on the smaller objects its still going to "displace" the same amount of unit set in the modifier
i think if i export the geo as objects it should work, but would rather keep it to a nice clean workflow
