Spawn from another flow crash 3ds max - Ravages - 01-14-2022
Hi Tyson,
I have an issue with a simulation which makes 3ds crashing...
I have a cracks simulation (object named "Tyflow_CRACKS") which is ok. After that I tried to spawn particles (for the dust) from this flow with "Birth flow" and "Flow Update" node and a property test (acceleration magnitude). The simulation is ok until frame 44 which makes 3ds crash...
I give you the .dmp file, and the 3ds max file. Maybe you will be able to replicate the crash...

Hey thanks for the file...I've tracked down the issue and it's a bug in my code. It will be fixed in the next build. As a workaround, if you disable multithreading in your tyFlow_DUST flow (select it and uncheck "auto" in the "Settings" rollout under "multithreading")...the freeze will no longer occur. It still simulates pretty quickly so you don't lose that much performance by having threading disabled there.
