Hi Tyson,
when picking a Group in the Shape Operator "Inherit from reference" for Instance Materials doesn´t work.

That's because groups (the container holding your objects) don't have a material. At some point in the future I'd like to make the Shape operator a bit smarter, so that it'll derive materials from group subobjects and stuff.
