Path follow is spinning even when spinning is on zero - Alexx31 - 02-14-2022 I'm not sure if there is a solution for this: I realized, that the Follow Path is often spinning the particles around the path, despite the spinning being on zero. Attached is a screenrecoding and the simple scene. I saw that in several scenes and it's always hard to get the particles following the path but without spinning. I tested slow operators and different settings. (dynamic, locked...) Maybe something that could be enhanced in future? followpath spin.mp4 (Size: 265.43 KB / Downloads: 143) tyflow follow path is spinning.max (Size: 800 KB / Downloads: 185) RE: Path follow is spinning even when spinning is on zero - tyFlow - 02-15-2022 You have a very strong attraction force (and no damping - ie, a Slow operator on top)...so the "spinning" is artificially created by the follow, attraction and PhysX collisions all working together. Just set your attraction force to 1 and you'll see the difference. RE: Path follow is spinning even when spinning is on zero - Alexx31 - 02-15-2022 Thanks, I had to adjust the spline, the curve was too narrow (In very tight curves with higher speed it's hard to adjust, unless it's not "locked") RE: Path follow is spinning even when spinning is on zero - tyFlow - 02-15-2022 You should put a Slow operator on top with very high values. The reason it's hard to adjust is because you're giving your particles constant acceleration. |
