UnrealEngine tyCache Plugin ... - davood.kharmanzar - 02-19-2022 it would be great if provide an plugin for UnrealEngine to import tyCache :] definitely better than huge alembics or USD :] RE: UnrealEngine tyCache Plugin ... - tyFlow - 02-21-2022 I think the best solution for inter-app data transfer would ultimately be USD. I'm sure it can probably support instancing, I've just never looked into it. RE: UnrealEngine tyCache Plugin ... - cgdvs - 02-22-2022 Will tyflow support exporting "USD" in the future? RE: UnrealEngine tyCache Plugin ... - tyFlow - 02-22-2022 I've never looked into the USD format, so I can't speak to whether or not I'll be able to support it in the future. Seems like it's slowly replacing Alembic, so I don't see it outside the realm of possibility though, if it's becoming the standard. Now on the production that I'm on, that's the only blocker I'm finding for not using it instead of Houdini for exporting caches into Unreal 5. |
