Using birth flow for resimulation / change a simulation? - Alexx31 - 03-01-2022 Hello, is it possible with birth flow to take an existing tyflow (or tycache?) and change the simulation? Simple example: I have an existing flow, but I would like to animate the scale all of the particles itself - in order to let the flow softly blend into an existing scene from zero. Thanks RE: Using birth flow for resimulation / change a simulation? - tyFlow - 03-02-2022 Sure, that's what it's there for Birth Flow/Flow Update are meant to be used to import one sim into another...then you can modify it as well...just make sure to disable the channels you wish to modify in the Flow Update operator. For example, if you want to change particle scale, typically you'd disable the scale channel in the Flow Update operator...otherwise Flow Update would overwrite your changes to that channel each frame. If you don't disable the scale channel (or any other channel that you wish to modify), then make sure your modification operators are set to Continuous (or whatever frame range you wish to modify). |
