face fracture - reassemble problem with smoothing and normals - devailo - 05-15-2022 Hello i've seen some topics discussing that problem but the given solutions dont seem to work for me - i need to destruct a logo and reassemble it but then it gets faceted .. even the first one when the event with the fracture comes it becomes faceted - i apply weld and smooth and it doesnt do anything. Materials arehighly reflective so any defect is easily spotted. ![]() RE: face fracture - reassemble problem with smoothing and normals - tyFlow - 05-16-2022 If you've done a Face Fracture, and added proper Mesh operators to your events (render-off), then tyWeld + tySmooth should retain the proper smoothing, essentially reverting your mesh to what it was before the fracture. What result do you see when you do those things? RE: face fracture - reassemble problem with smoothing and normals - devailo - 05-16-2022 Well im using the modifiers weld + smooth inside the editor. Unfortunately i dont know how to use the modifiers outside of it. When I add tyWeld the tyflow object, it disappears. I have some researching to do now. If you could spare the time to help i will be truly grateful. I also dont get what this means " added proper Mesh operators to your events (render-off)" RE: face fracture - reassemble problem with smoothing and normals - tyFlow - 05-16-2022 Mesh operators, within the flow events. tyWeld and tySmooth won't work until you've added Mesh operators to your flow. Mesh operators convert particles to meshes that can be processed by modifiers. |
