ornatrix alembic & Position Hair - ldotchopz - 05-22-2022
The Position Hair works great on the ornatrix hair, but when I need to cache everything out as Ox alembic, the Position Hair doesn't let you select the ox alembic. is there a work around for this?

You will have to cache them separately.

I am caching them seperately, tyflow just doesn't let me select the imported ox alembic.
So you're saying Position Hair should be able to select the ox alembic?

Oh sorry, I misunderstood the question.
Position Hair needs to select the uncached hair object to read the necessary internal hair data.

ah okay, good to know i think i know a workaround to get it work in sync with the alembic. that said it would be great if tyflow could see ox alembic. i believe it when you export ox alembic it stores most of the data. could it be intergrated do you think?

Ox alembic doesn't expose the necessary interface that tyFlow needs to read, so I don't think it will be possible, no.
