Some thoughts on fracturing - SteveDeeGreen - 04-10-2019 Just some thoughts on fracturing, how they could be improved visually with sacrificing speed. Getting some extra detail, I guess rendertime displacement (whether that's with VRay Displacement mod, or RS Mesh Parameters) would be the way forward? So collision is done on low poly particle systems but the displacement improves detail to get some more internal roughness? Thanks, Steve RE: Some thoughts on fracturing - insertmesh - 04-10-2019 Yeah, something like rayfires asperity modifier would be great, apparently TP also has something like that. Vray rendertime displacement doesn´t work, already tried that. Mesh gets torn apart at the edges where displaced and non displaced material meet. RE: Some thoughts on fracturing - Kirado - 04-10-2019 Even with vray displacement keep continuity option checked..? Reading the vray docs and they suggest using masking IE having one displacement map over the entire object.
