3dsmax crashes when caching - alexp - 11-11-2022 I have an issue where 3dsmax will completely crash to desktop when the caching hits a certain frame when using less than 1 frame time step in tyflow settings. It works if the time step is a whole frame, but anything less it will crash. Its a ball of particles with fluid force driven by phoenix. The crash is caused BY the fluid force operator - ie. if I turn it off - no crash Tyflow PRO v1.011 3dsmax 2023 Phoenix 5.01.00 RE: 3dsmax crashes when caching - tyFlow - 11-11-2022 Are you running out of RAM? Or does it crash immediately as soon as you reduce the timestep? If you send me the minidump (see sticky post about finding where it is) I can take a look. Not running out of RAM no, its as soon as I try to recalculate the cache with a lower time step BUT I have identified something - If I disable adaptive grid in the Phoenix FD object and resim with a fixed grid - it now seems to work - although Im not sure if that is the grid or its down to the resim. I'll grab the minidump Emailed the latest minidump |
