Mapping Operator No change - tomoya kimpara - 04-04-2023

I would like to know how to use the Mapping Operator to go from unifying information back to detailed information

In the first event I want to use the mapping operator to make it single using "Affect particle mapping overrides" and then use "Affects Particle mesh UVWs" in TimeTest to get back to a detailed image, but it doesn't work. I can't get it to work.

The left is the unifying information and the right is the detailed state.

Am I doing something wrong?

I will send you the file.

Are you talking about this effect?

No, it is not.

The mapping operator picks up the UVW position and particle color. From there you just want to go back to the original mapping.

In essence, I want to go from the left state of the MAX file to the right state.

I have tried, but it really cannot be presented directly.
But I did it using other methods.

Interesting request...currently there's not a way to 'remove' a mapping override once you apply it to a particle, which explains the behavior you're seeing. I will add that feature to the next build (it will be a "remove mapping overrides" option in the Mapping operator mode dropdown).

WOW
It's working perfectly.
You create something that spawns once and keeps UVs, and then switch between them in groups.
Very smart.

I used a similar technique to get through mine.
But I feel like mine is a little more complicated than yours.
I chose the same method of spawning and reverting by looking at the parents as well.
Not sure why it is working.

You are smarter than that.

I will also share my files.

Thank you.
