Export tyCache to mesh/object - BlindSp0t - 06-16-2023 Hi, Newbie here. Is it possible to export the particles of a certain frame out of a tyCache file to an object/mesh (or better, directly to an Alembic file)? RE: Export tyCache to mesh/object - tyFlow - 06-16-2023 Why not just export straight to objects/Alembic from the flow itself using Export Particles? Skip tyCaching first entirely? If there's another reason you need to export a frame from a tyCache, just load it into a flow using Birth Flow (setting the offset to match the frame you want) and then export to objects/Alembic using Export Particles. RE: Export tyCache to mesh/object - BlindSp0t - 06-16-2023 Thx heaps! I exported a mesh from a single frame after simulating (which I also cached for quick comparison work) for usage in another scene, using the ExportParticles operator and closed the simulation scene. Later on I needed the mesh from another frame and was hoping I could pull it out of the cache, instead of simulating again till the needed frame to use ExportParticles. TIL I can use BirthFlow to 'load up' my cache and get it done a bit faster ;-) Thx again! |
