tySelect Assign map chanel Alembic - tomoya kimpara - 09-05-2023
If I bake to Alembic with the object assigned to VertexColor Chanel with TySelect, the channel does not follow.
I have a situation where I want to bake to Alembic because of heavy deformation of the mesh.

Are you sure the data isn't coming through? Vertex color data is stored in map channel 0...which should be exported with the Alembic data, although in an auxiliary map channel (and labeled as such in the .abc format).

I see, I had set the map channel to 3, which was a mistake. I was using another TySelects and had set that one to channel 0.
Am I correct in my understanding that when exporting to Alembic, you are limited to only one channel 0?

The Alembic exporter should be able to export all present UVW channels (in the latest builds only - previously it was limited yes, but not anymore)...if you send me the file I can take a look to see if the data is being exported properly in all channels.
