TyPreview - Smoothing Groups / Flickering? - cjwidd - 10-15-2023
TyPreview is rendering some flickering(?) that looks like a smoothing groups issue, but if you scrub the timeline in Max, the issue is not present.
What might TyPreview doing that is introducing these shading errors?

Is it a clipping issue? If rendering from a perspective viewport, tyPreview will not adopt any custom viewport clipping settings applied to the view. If rendering from a camera, tyPreview will adopt the clipping settings of the camera.
If you have a huge scene and you're previewing from the perspective viewport, that could be why you say black face flickering and such...try previewing from a camera with appropriate clipping settings applied to match your scene scale.
