Terrain Texture Stretching - luciandmt - 11-26-2023

Hello,
Is there a way to avoid the texture stretching on the terrain?
I do want to keep some steeper angles, so I tried to do some terracing on the terrain but the texture still stretches really bad.
What are some tips in fixing these?
I suppose there isn't other types of mapping like triplanar or anything?
For now I use my own low poly mesh for the terrain with very little filters, but do use the procedural texture i obtain with tyflow.
Thanks!

Very steep cliffs like that in any height-map based solution will always appear stretched, because there's no height information in the coloring. You can minimize it by either a) increasing overall terrain resolution, b) reducing steepness of cliffs or c) adding some erosion to break up the streaks. Of course, doing some triplanar texturing of whatever is a possibility, but outside of the scope of tyFlow's terrain tools (you'll have to apply that after to the exported terrain mesh).
