Constrained rotation based on Force - Rooooij3d - 02-21-2024 Hi all, Its probably very easy to do but im a bit stuck :/ Im trying to create an an effect where the particles dont move and only rotate on one axis based on a force. something like the image attached. I tried using travel direction and resetting the position but I cant really the desired result as travel direction wont let me constrain to one axis. anyone have an idea ? RE: Constrained rotation based on Force - d4rk3lf - 02-21-2024 Not sure if I fully understand... Is this maybe a solution? RE: Constrained rotation based on Force - Rooooij3d - 02-22-2024 Thanks for your help! I cant open the file ( stil on 2022 ) but I think this is not quite what im after. I hand animated the effect im looking for, the particles should only rotate on their Z axis. Like a weather vane basically. Im trying to visualise a curl noise pattern with a lot of these rectangle shapes. Edit : I spoke to soon! :] I recreated the your screengrab and this is basically what im looking for, thanks again! |
