PhoenixFD view in viewport + other strangeness - SteveDeeGreen - 04-17-2019 Hi, I was testing out the facility to have TyFlow particles as a source for PhoenixFD in the previous build (12) and noticed that the preview GPU in viewport didn't work - nothing shows. If you turn it off it switched to the old way of visualising the grid. Does it compete for GPU resources at all? What's really weird (although probably unconnected) is that a short while later (Max still running but not doing anything) the fans kicked into overdrive and had to reset. (This was on a clevo laptop with a 2070 and i9) After that the wifi adaptor wasn't working and I had to turn it off for a bit... Like I said it probably unconnected but thought worth mentioning considering the bug fixes were quite extensive for 13. Thanks, Steve RE: PhoenixFD view in viewport + other strangeness - tyFlow - 04-17-2019 We actually ran into this problem at work...turns out the solution is simple: the tyFlow bounding box was clipping the PhoenixFD box so PhoenixFD was presuming it was occluded by geo and therefore not buidling the preview. Try hiding the tyFlow object and see if the preview returns. RE: PhoenixFD view in viewport + other strangeness - SteveDeeGreen - 04-18-2019 Thanks, will give that a go when I get in to work! |
