Phoenix FD + tymesher + redshift - mesh update problem - pikok - 04-29-2024
HI.
I'm using PHX, meshed with tyMesher and rendering with Redshift - the problem is, that while rendering geometry of tyMesher doesn't update.
I have all possible "auto" updates checked.
What might be the culprit? Is that a known issue?

Sometimes adding edit mesh or edit poly operator on top of TyMesher helps.
If it's not working, maybe try exporting it as alembic and importing back.

Hi. Thanks for these tips. Unfortunately it's not working.
I can see it updating in the viewport during rendering, but it's not informing the renderer.
It's very frustrating. I'm guessing it's a known bug? Tymesher not updating in Redshift?

Alembic is sort of working, but some of the frames did not export properly. Ugh.
Do you have some kind of recipe for alembic so it exports exactly the same topology and animation?
I have only free version of Tyflow. Does tycache work well with geometry caching?
