TyFlow Ext Map Channel is already registered - alexp - 05-19-2024

Having some issues with renders taking a very long time to get going.

Using VRAY GPU.

I have determined its down to this error message, but I have no idea what this means- see screenshot

This message repeats millions of times.

Interestingly though, this issue does not appear with Arnold or Redshift.

Hoping someone can shed some light on what this error means?

Thanks

So this seems to be appearing as I have 2 x Mapping operators.

One is set to mapping from object and channel 1
One is set to mapping from velocity and channel 2

Is this the right way to go about this?

I want the particles to have typical texture map taken from the starting object, and then have a gradient ramp driven by velocity

You'll have to ask the VRay devs about that. I don't have any control over their GPU implementation of tyFlow features, and "tyFlowExtMapChan" is not something tyFlow creates or has control over - it's something they've apparently implemented.

Sure thing, I have also posted it on the chaos forums.

How about the second question? Is this the correct approach for creating 2 x mapping channels?

Assuming the way I have set it up is creating some sort of conflict

Thanks
