surface test "lag" - super gnu - 04-19-2019 Ive been using a surface test operator set to "nearest velocity" to pass particles on to a surface force operator, for the effect of attached particles flying off an object when it moves. however there is a lag. if the object moves, the particles are triggered on the next frame it seems.. this means they momentarily pass inside the object. i have worked around this by passing the triggered particles into a new event with another object bind operator in, and then a time test set to one frame. after this one frame, they pass on to the surface force event. this works, but seems unnecessary. i am not sure if this is inevitable , or a bug. it would be good if the "surface test" operator could "look ahead" or something so that the movement of the particles is better synced with the object they are affected by.
