If you create a spline with 3 segments. Then assign a material ID to each segment (1,2,3).
If you select Inherit Spline Material ID, the whole spline only gets the 1st's segments material ID applied to the whole spline.
IE: if the material ID of first segment is 1 then 1 is assigned to whole spline, if 4 then 4 is assigned to whole spline.
is this normal assignment of materials or should they match each segments set id ?

Correction to behavior - I just noticed the above is only true in Percent along spline and distance along spline
in knots mode the material ID is set as per original material assignment
