tyCache export crash at creating "tyCache mesh file" - usc001 - 10-09-2024 Hello, i have a tyflow where i use Edgefracture after voronoi fracture. The idea is that edgefractures apply only to the second event where there is forces to make the simulation faster. I made a simple test Scene to reproduce the crash so i dont have to attach the tycaches i use in my main file. In both Scene everything looks fine in viewport, in Cache and in rendering; also physx collision seem to work fine. But when i try to export to tyCache it crashes at the end at "creating tyCache mesh File". When i turn off edgefractures it exports without crash. is this related to a changing element/mesh Index? because when i apply edgefracture to the whole input mesh (after voronoi) it also seems to export fine; but that means a huge increase of sim time and i dont really need those fractures there... Im working on "3dsMax 2022" and "tyFlow 1.013". thank youuu RE: tyCache export crash at creating "tyCache mesh file" - Alexx31 - 10-12-2024 Hi, I had a similar issue last week with tyCache crash and current Tyflow and provided already my file. Maybe it has to do also with the „explicit normals“? (something Tyson mentioned) My scene used also edge fracture, but I did not examine if that could have to do with Edge Fracture) In my case I used tycaches with Birth Flow, and theses caches had been created with use of edge fracture. RE: tyCache export crash at creating "tyCache mesh file" - tyFlow - 10-13-2024 I think this is just a case of you using an outdated build - I can't repro the crash in v1.118, and a bunch of Edge Fracture issues were fixed after v1.013 was released. |
