Can I delete a part of cloth? - Alexx31 - 10-22-2024 I tried by surface test to delete only a part of a cloth after a pre-simulation. It deletes all cloth. Is there another way to delete it partially? Thanks p.s. Reason is, that I need the big cloth in order to get it perfectly stretched in the middle, but want to cut then away the unneeded side parts. RE: Can I delete a part of cloth? - d4rk3lf - 10-22-2024 Not sure how you can keep part of the cloth mesh within TyFlow and surface test. But here's a quick workaround: Select TyFlow object, add Tyselect modifier, switch to mesh mode, pick your box and any object you wanna use it's volume to delete cloth mesh. Finally add delete mesh modifier. RE: Can I delete a part of cloth? - Alexx31 - 10-22-2024 thanks, the interesting question is if it will speed up cloth simulations then or if still everything is simulated (just hidden) I will have to test it RE: Can I delete a part of cloth? - d4rk3lf - 10-22-2024 (10-22-2024, 03:37 PM)Alexx31 Wrote: thanks, the interesting question is if it will speed up cloth simulations then or if still everything is simulated (just hidden) In My humble opinion. It won't speed anything. Particle IS.. or NOT the part of cloth simulation. There's no middle ground. |
