Density By Texture Channel Issue? - betamax - 10-24-2024 This might be a Redshift issue but I noticed that when using the Position Object operator > Density By Texture feature, that the channel selection (Ambient, Diffuse etc) doesn't seem to match between Redshift vs Standard/Legacy Materials. This can be kind of confusing behaviour. So: In Legacy Material > #1 Diffuse = #1 Diffuse (tyflow) In RS Material > #1 Diffuse = #0 Ambient (tyflow) Video attached. RE: Density By Texture Channel Issue? - tyFlow - 10-24-2024 Those options follow Max's default/legacy texmap slot ordering. It's not feasible for me to adjust it to account for 3rd party re-orderings of every material type...so if you find a material that doesn't match that order, just use the explicit texmap assignment mode. RE: Density By Texture Channel Issue? - betamax - 10-24-2024 Thanks Tyson, makes sense. |
