Multifracture Best practice - usc001 - 10-24-2024 Hellooo, ive finally got an update to the latest version and its impressive! However, everythings changed so theres new questions 1# Whats best practice to assign matIDs to Edge Faces in the multifracture operator? In the bottom of multifracture modifier there is "select fracture faces". So in modifier workflow i can check that and then add a "material" modifier on top to assign materials. How can i do the same with the operator inside a tyflow? If i try the same thing in a flow the face selection is ignored and the whole element gets a new matID. 2# Whats best practice to procedurally generate detailed cracks along a spline on a surface? Ive made a flow for the cracks animation and used tysplines to export that animation. Im unsure now if i should define the detailed areas before simulating (prefracture in modifier stack) or if its better to gradually subdivide elements (using multifracture operator) whenever they are adressed by my animated splines... See this for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6I2Pmd7sVMc The cracks are relatively thin compared to the surface area so there is much higher detail in the adressed areas. Is this fully prefractured based on the last frame of the "crack" (animated tySpline) animation? Thanks in advance Edit: I figured out the 2nd question. But the first question i couldnt answer yet; how to assign matID to the "insides" (like in shell modifier the edge matID) when fracturing with operator? thank youuu |
