Add the ability to obtain the target 'UV' (mapping) attribute for the 'Set Target' op - cgdvs - 12-04-2024 Hi,Tyson. The 'Set Target' operator is really useful, I am used to using it. Today, when using the 'Property Transfer' operator to transfer colors, I feel that it is limited to nearby particles, which is also its limitation. In contrast, I think using the "Set Target" operator to obtain the target "UV" (mapping) would be a very convenient feature, because the "Set Target" operator is no longer limited to nearby particles, and can also define particles with the same number. So, I would like to ask if you can add the function of obtaining the target "UV" attribute to the "Set Target" operator? thank you. RE: Add the ability to obtain the target 'UV' (mapping) attribute for the 'Set Target' op - tyFlow - 12-04-2024 I'm not sure I understand the request. RE: Add the ability to obtain the target 'UV' (mapping) attribute for the 'Set Target' op - cgdvs - 12-04-2024 Please add an option to inherit the 'mapping' of the target particle for the 'Set Target' operator. Simply put, it is to obtain the "UV" of the target particle (when the target particle uses the "mapping" operator). RE: Add the ability to obtain the target 'UV' (mapping) attribute for the 'Set Target' op - cgdvs - 12-05-2024 For example, there are two groups of particles A and B (with the same number of particles), where particle A is the target particle and particle group A has UV (obtained by reading the object using mapping). At this point, the B particles are randomly scattered in the air and need to search for the A particles. It is easy for the B particles to find the location of A using the "Set Target" operator, but they do not have the UV information of the A particles because they are not adjacent. If we add "mapping" to read the UV effect after searching for the target, and the A particles have animated motion (not stationary), then I thought of adding a "mapping" function option to the "Set Target" operator to obtain the UV information of the target particles. RE: Add the ability to obtain the target 'UV' (mapping) attribute for the 'Set Target' op - tyFlow - 12-05-2024 Seems like adding a "transfer from target" option to the Property Transfer operator would be a nice place for something like that. You are right, the ' Property Transfer ' operator should focus more on Property Transfer . |
