You can visualize the skeleton whowing a clear path going through it, but having no luck with a family bind. Proximity is not really going to work for this.

No, it doesn't compute any sibiling relationships between particles. I could potentially compute the sibiling values between the parts of each "branch", but connectivity between branches has no analytical solution like that - you need to compute by proximity or other methods.
