I can't render a TyCache with V-Ray 7 (CPU) - AmerAlhumsi - 04-26-2025

Hello everyone, I have a weird problem and I hope someone can help. I can't render a TyCache with V-Ray 7 (CPU) when using instance mode.
I have a large simulation — about 350,000 particles — which I exported as a TyCache.
I tried everything to render it using V-Ray 7 (CPU) and even V-Ray 6, but the TyCache remains hidden and doesn’t show up in the render.
However, when I switch to V-Ray GPU, it renders fine. It also works when rendering with Vantage.
Additionally, if I switch the TyCache to 'mesh mode' instead of 'instance mode', it renders fine as well — but in that case, the memory can't handle such a large simulation.
Does anyone know exactly what the problem might be and how I can fix it? Thank you!

Can you render with instances when you import your TyCache in TyFlow via Birth flow and Flow update (and of course mesh operator set to instances)?

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I did what you suggested, but it's not working when the mesh operator is set to instances

Your build doesn't support VRay 6 or 7.

Thank you! I'm going to buy TyFlow Pro today. Is there any document that shows all the benefits of TyFlow Pro, like simulation time enhancements and all other stuff

You don't need the PRO version for rendering. Just get the latest free build.
