follow gradient - tycera - 06-10-2025 I'm having trouble getting particles to follow a gradient over a surface. I'm trying to replicate the PFlow system in the attached data with tyFlow - follow gradient, constant speed, minimal lateral movement. How do I do it? ![]() RE: follow gradient - tycera - 06-26-2025 bump Can anybody help? It seems like it should be an easy thing to do. Am I missing something obvious? RE: follow gradient - tyFlow - 06-27-2025 You're not dampening the velocity at all right now, which is leading to the issues you're seeing. Put a Slow operator above your Surface Force with 100% strength, and increase the gradient ascent force to something like 0.1. RE: follow gradient - tycera - 07-01-2025 Thanks. That works great. |
