Tyflow poor CUDA performance on RTX 4090? - Domokun - 07-30-2025 Hi Friends! I am following this tutorial - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eM52FoILsL8 - and everything goes fine until I enable CUDA cloth then the sim calculation runs extremely slow! Like painfully slow. I though CUDA was supposed to speed up these sort of calculations? I reached out to the author and he said things went really fast for him using CUDA he was on an RTX 2880!. Said the final setup took about 30 seconds for the entire thing. I told him I was getting about 1.5 seconds per frame for a calculation! System specs: Windows 11 (latest updates as of 07.29.2025) Geforce Rtx FE 4090 NVME HDD for OS and 3dSmax 64 GB RAM Intel Core i9 12900K TYFlow PRO v1.114 Latest Nvidia Studio Graphics driver - 577.00-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international My Vray benchmark and cinebench scores are on par with a 4090... unsure what could be going on. Would be cool if folks could test this max scene and give a rough idea of their performance. I've even tried tyflow beta and 3dsmax 2021, same results. Thank you all so much! D |
