Surface Test distance - rodrigolima3d - 06-11-2026 Hello! Here we go again I swear the god that I've searched and tried a lot before post here. I'm in a hurry with a project and asking for help here has been very helpful. I've made a simple version of my problem on the attached video and here are the nodes as well. I just want to keep the distance particles the same from the beginning to the end, keeping the action of the particles inside the box, that's what I thought the volume inside was supposed to do. It starts closer to the surface test (a box) but in the end the particles start to get distant from the box. I've changed all the settings on find target node I could think of, but still not getting a solution. Changing velocity or acceleration doesn't solve the issue, it makes the particles behave different but the distance from the box still the same. I've tried using an object test instead of surface test but had same result. Basically I'm using Voronoi Fracture to create particles, in the surface test (inside) I'm using the box on the video set to Volume Inside. Does anybody knows how to solve that? Thanks Rodrigo. RE: Surface Test distance - tyFlow - 06-11-2026 It's not clear what the issue is supposed to be. RE: Surface Test distance - rodrigolima3d - 06-11-2026 Hello. Well I thought the video and screenshots would help. Looking at picture one you can see how close the particles are from the surface test and at the end they are distant. That's the issue. They are supposed to be inside the volume (box) or at least as close as at the beginning of the simulation. Looks pretty clear that they start in some way at the beginning and finishes different at the end. I wonder if I could set it in someway to keep the particle distant the same from the start until the end. Im attaching an image as an indication of the distance I've mentioned. RE: Surface Test distance - tyFlow - 06-11-2026 Where are the particles coming from? RE: Surface Test distance - rodrigolima3d - 06-11-2026 Here is the file in case you want to check. Its max 2024. RE: Surface Test distance - tyFlow - 06-11-2026 Your Voronoi operator is set to move particles outward - by the time the last particles are sent to the next event, they're far away. This explains the gap. RE: Surface Test distance - rodrigolima3d - 06-12-2026 Thaaanks it solved!! I hope some noobie have their life saved here in my dumb posts. Thanks again. Rodrigo. |
