Vray Metaballs don't get TyFlow cache particle size right - vklein - 05-07-2019
Using VRay Metaballs for fluid surface with size taken from particles.
If I use the tyFlow object as source the sizes are used properly.
If I cache the flow and use the tyflow cache as source for the VRayMataballs the sizes are off.
different sizes seams to be there but they are smaller and so the VRayMetaballs fails to connect in many instances.

Could it be that VRayMetaballs needs "radius" and not the saved "scale" value from the cache? Or any other channel?

Yeah; I noticed the same thing a while ago, I thought I had found a fix, but I can´t reproduce it.
