Spinning top syndrome. - NYCHooligan - 05-08-2019 I feel like this has been addressed, either here or on Facebook, and I've looked around for those threads/posts, but haven't found them. The issue I'm having is, PhysX fragments spinning unrealistically like tops, for many rotations before coming to a rest. I seem to recall it being a matter of mass v.s gravity and sim steps/samples... I've experimented with many variations of the latter, but can't seem to find that sweet spot. Has anybody else experienced this or know what I'm talking about? If not, I can post a vid. Thanks ahead of time for any insights! R RE: Spinning top syndrome. - tyFlow - 05-08-2019 I'd suggest either turning up angular damping, or decreasing max angular velocity. Both settings can be found in the PhysX Shape operator. |
