HI,Tyson!

I have an idea. Please look at the picture. When I need to make a lot of craters like the moon's surface, I feel it seems difficult (maybe I didn't find it). If "Terrain" can add the "Terrain Particles" birth operator, then it can better use the procedural function of particles and make similar effects easier. What do you think?

Hi cgdvs,

Actually the Terrain FX operator originally had a crater mode...however, I wasn't happy with the result and wanted to improve it, so I took it out for now. Eventually I will improve it and put it back in.

If you want to test it, you can enable it manually by creating a new tyFlow object, selecting it, then dragging a Terrain FX operator into it and running this MAXScript:

Code:
$.event_001.terrain_fx.fxmode=9

Ok, I will try the method you provided. Thank you for your answer
By the way, can "Terrain Particles" add this operator?

Why add the "Terrain Particles" operator?
Because the function of particles is relatively mature today, I feel it will be a great help to make use of the function of particles. Of course, I may not know the difficulty.
