speed parameter in two directions

Hello. Probably an obvious question from a newbie. How can I add a random vertical direction, so that the particles spread apart along two axes ZY or ZX? In the speed parameters, there is only a horizontal random direction, but vertical is "missed" . Is it possible to make a kinda "plane" from which the particles will fly apart along its two local axes? Or in other words, how  i can control the speed of particles along certain axes. This should be simple in theory... I hope I wrote it clearly and in the right place    THx!

I only offer random horizontal as a built-in direction mode, yes (as a holdover from the old Particle Flow days). I guess I could offer the other 2 planes as options, or even local-space planes (it's just that nobody has ever requested this before) - can you describe your use case?
