birth surface + selected verices = no particles...

I saw in a search for this issue that a crash resulting from deselection/no selection has been fixed.  However i'm not getting any birth from a simple line with 4 vertices and 1 selected.  Anyone else confirm?

Also no particles with a postion object set to selected vertices.

Thanks Joe, seems like an issue isolated to spline selections. I'll get this fixed for the next build.
