Overlapping cables with sag

What would be the best way of going about creating a bunch of overlapping cables that sag (from their weight) and do not overlap (collision detection). The 3ds max Hose geometry is good for creating a decent route between two connectors for a cable or hose, but this cable/hose does not sag, for one, and in creating an animation, it would be nice if there were gravity effects and overshoots (of the cables) as the connectors move around.

If anyone can give me some ideas on which parts of tyFlow would be best for simulating wire/cable interactions and sag, I would really appreciate it.
